METHODIST SPORTS MEDICINE AND INDIANA UNIVERSITY HEALTH OFFER WALK-IN CLINIC AND SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS IN GREENWOOD

Convenient Services Offer Athletes and Non-Athletes Expert Orthopedic, Sports Medicine and
Concussion Management Care

Methodist Sports Medicine and IU Health, official sports medicine providers for Center Grove High School Athletics, are collaborating to bring convenience and expertise to Greenwood and Indianapolis’ Southside.

Methodist Sports Medicine now offers a Saturday morning orthopedic Walk-In Clinic at IU Health Methodist Medical Plaza South, 8820 S. Meridian Street in Suite 235. Methodist Sports Medicine fellowship-trained physicians diagnose and treat orthopedic injuries, as well as concussions, and patients never need appointments.

“Convenience is key for weekend warriors who suffer sudden injuries and student athletes who take hard hits during Friday night football games,” said Dr. Peter Sallay, president of Methodist Sports Medicine. “By having these convenient options in Greenwood, we can better serve our patients who live south of Indianapolis and areas such as Franklin, Bloomington and Columbus.”

On Saturdays from 8-10 a.m., families can walk in to the Greenwood clinic and also the Carmel Walk-In Clinic location at 201 Pennsylvania Parkway. For sports medicine injuries occurring mid-week, IU Health fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians are available for Same Day Appointments. Methodist Sports Medicine offers another Walk-In Clinic at its Carmel location, 201 Pennsylvania Parkway, Monday through Saturday 8 – 10 a.m.

These services are for anyone with sudden or recent sports or active lifestyle-related injuries and for injuries, such as concussions, preventing participation in sports.
